Questions to ask before booking a vendor

The fastest way to avoid a mismatch is to ask better questions before you pay a deposit.

The first question is not price. The first question is whether the vendor has actually handled your kind of event before.

Ask what their process looks like from inquiry to event day. Ask how they handle timing changes, who the point of contact will be, and what is included versus optional. Good vendors answer clearly without making the scope feel vague.

You should also ask what information they need from you to do their job well. Strong vendors know what details matter and will tell you early.

Clarity before booking is what makes the event feel easy later.
